Craig Richardson
Growing up in Kittery Point, Craig learned to appreciate the outdoors, spending days lobstering, fishing and taking part in all things related to coastal living, made for an idyllic childhood. Autumn months were spent bird hunting and deer hunting throughout the state with his dad and two brothers. After graduating Trait Academy and serving in the Army, Craig began his career at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring in 2016. Throughout the years he has been active in all things related to Maine outdoor sporting life, serving on the SAM board in the 1990’s and as a member of various ATV and snowmobile clubs in Maine, turkey federation, Ruffed Grouse Society and Ducks Unlimited. He is also a life member of the NRA and Life Member of SAM. In 2017, he was issued a Lifetime Outdoor Achievement Award by the Commissioner of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Sharing his passion for preserving Maine outdoor heritage for future generations, Craig is a 4H instructor for SAM’s Youth Program. Craig lives in Waterboro, ME with his wife Lisa and has two grown daughters.
