Bob Humphrey
Bob is a blue-collar Renaissance man. A wildlife biologist by training, he does contract consulting work for various state and federal agencies, private non-government agencies and individuals. He is a freelance outdoor writer/photographer whose work regularly appears in numerous print and online publications including The Maine Sportsman, Maine Sunday Telegram, Buckmasters, Outdoor Life, Bowhunting, Whitetail News, Gamekeepers and more. He is a registered Maine guide and charter captain with a focus on inshore and offshore saltwater fishing for striped bass, groundfish, sharks and tuna; and is also a commercial tuna fisherman.
He serves on several other boards including the Royal River Conservation Trust, The National Marine Fisheries Service Highly Migratory Species Advisory Panel, Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission Striped Bass Advisory Panel and is President of the Casco Bay Bluefin Bonanza tuna tournament. He and his wife, Jane, live on a 100-acre parcel in Pownal that he actively manages and hunts for wildlife. He is also owner and administrator of several social media groups including the 44,000-member Maine Deer Hunters Facebook group.
