Greg McNeal, Vice President

Greg McNeal, Treasurer

Greg was born in Caribou Maine and is still considered a “county” boy. At the age of five the family moved south and settled in Surry Maine. Greg graduated from Ellsworth high school and immediately entered the Marine Corps. Greg retired from the Marine Corps in June of 1996. Greg has also retired from the State of Maine.
Greg lives with his wife, Stephanie, and their four bird dogs (three Large Munsterlanders and one Llewellyn Setter) in Fairfield Maine. He enjoys all aspects of hunting and fishing however his passion is hunting birds. Especially the work spent getting myself and the dogs ready to chase birds whether it be Pheasants in North Dakota, Quail in Kansas or what he considers to be the best of all in north Maine woods with his wife and the dogs chasing Grouse.
Greg is a graduate of Thomas College in Waterville with a degree in Computer Science, working on an MBA and a graduate from the Harvard School of Government in 21st Century Leadership studies. He also serves on the Fairfield Planning Board, the Gambling Control Board and is working on attaining his Certified Hunter Safety Instructor accreditations from the State of Maine.
As a new board member of SAM I take seriously the work this dedicated and professional group of outdoors men and women do to introduce folks to our traditional hunting spirit, and keeping the great Maine heritage alive.
